Each month, Whitman Middle School partners with the Capital Area Food Bank to provide a family market to its students and their families. Our Volunteers can help us in many ways, such as setting-up, cleaning-up, bagging vegetables and fruits, etc.

The Antioch Baptist Church of Clinton operates a free food pantry each month on the second Fri and Sat. We will use your donations to supplement our food purchased from the Capital Area Food Bank to combat food insecurity in our community!

Emergency Food Assistance Program

Volunteers help bring the food order to the distribution site, and a team of 4-7 volunteers help unload the food, unpack the cases, divide the food into individual orders for each patron or family and work at the check in area.

Literacy Kit

Literacy Kits includes a book and a volunteer-created prop, game, or other activity to make reading interactive and enjoyable. Completed Lit Kits are distributed to early learning centers or after-school programs. Project date flexible.

Food and Nutrition Center- Morning Truck

You will be unloading our truck delivery and stocking our shelves and building boxes for food distribution. It is important to wear layered clothing and comfortable, closed-toe shoes. There can be heavy lifting involved, +20 LBs.

Give A Book

Volunteers are needed to help wrap 600 book gifts for children of Boys and Girls Clubs, These will be distributed througout 8 Polk County locations.

Angel Tree Donation Sorting

Volunteers will help unload donations from trucks, sort the toys, and verify that all “angel” bags have been received. This is a warehouse setting, and volunteers will be moving and walking on concrete most of the time, so dress comfortably.

Thanksgiving Meal Distribution

Volunteer are needed to help build out Thanksgiving meal kits, and assist in the distribution of the kits to families. Masks are required for participation in this volunteer event.

Community Garden Target Hunger

Volunteer with a Free Community Market
